VISIT TO COMPANIES FROM THE ENVIRONMENT...

In April of the current year, the delegation of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology (MTF) consisting of prof. Ph.D. Faik Uzunović, prof. Ph.D. Almaida Gigović-Gekić, prof. Dr. Hasan Avdušinović and Prof. Dr. Raza Sunulahpašić visited a number of production companies in the field of metalworking in our area, with the aim of strengthening cooperation with production companies, and opening opportunities for consulting, joint research, as well as academic services of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, as well as providing student visits and internships. As part of its visit, the faculty delegation visited the following companies:

1. ADK in Novi Travnik, a company engaged in the production of complex steel constructions using the welding process. The host in front of the company was Mr. E. Merdić, B.Sc. Eng. and chief welding technologist.

2. BINAS in Bugojno, a company that manufactures products from the field of dedicated industry with the application of cold and hot processing, and casting. The hosts in front of the company were director S. Ganić, B.Sc. ecc, and M. Esad technologist.

3. BNT doo in Novi Travnik, a company engaged in the production of metal structures and their parts, the production of products for lifting and conveying, the production of machine tools, the provision of metal processing services, heat treatment and surface protection services and laboratory services (mechanical, chemical, metallographic tests and calibration of measuring instruments), as well as the production of weapons and military equipment. The hosts in front of the company were director Š. Rizvić, M.Sc. ecc, and technical director D. Lapajne, Eng. metallurgy.

4. NT Forging in Novi Travnik, the company "NT Forging" is one of the members of the company Cimos from Slovenia and is engaged in the production of parts for the automotive industry. The hosts in front of the company were director E. Šarić, B.Sc. Eng. and technologist S. Zahirović, B.Sc. Eng. german mat.

5. UNIS TOK in Kalesija is a company engaged in the production of forgings for the automotive industry, products for rail vehicles and other products (hubs for various purposes, flanges, inserts for gas bottles, disks, gears...). The hosts in front of the company were director M. Hukić, B.Sc. ecc and technologist J. Sokolović, B.Sc. Eng.

After the visits, the common impression is that such visits are mutually beneficial, and that the door is open for further cooperation between the teaching staff and students of MTF with the mentioned production companies, where a few of our graduate engineers also work, which is not a small number considering that companies usually only have between 80-350 employees.

On this occasion, the management of the faculty would like to thank the company representatives for their time and the opportunity to introduce ourselves. We hope to continue our cooperation to mutual satisfaction.
