02/23/2016 RESI PROJECT: MEETING OF THE PROJECT TEAM WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE RELEVANT MINISTRY

In the premises of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica, a meeting of part of the UNZE project team (Prof. Dr. Šefket Goletić, Prof. Dr. Darko Petković and Assistant Professor Nusret Imamović) was held with the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Assoc. Ph.D. Fuad Hadžikadunić and Mr. Željko Bodul, Assistant Minister for Higher Education of the ZDK Government.
The topic of discussion was the delay in making a decision on the start of master's studies at the Ministry of Finance of UNZE as part of the RESI project, which should have been made by the Government of ZDK. Mr. Bodul explained that for the initiation of this study, a new procedure is being applied, which implies the appointment of an independent expert commission of 3 university members from other universities in BiH, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the ZDK and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the UNZE, which should on the basis of the Elaborate submitted long ago for the initiation of this study, determine the fulfillment of the spatial, technical (laboratory), personnel and other conditions for the initiation of the program study in the field of "Renewable energy sources and environmental aspects", in order to start this study in the next academic year. The representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the ZDK Government promised that these activities will be completed during March 2016, when the Elaborate on the initiation of the mentioned study of the II cycle with accompanying materials will be sent to the Assembly of the ZDK for consideration and adoption.

After the meeting, the participants visited the Laboratory for Environmental Diagnostics and Renewable Energy Sources, equipped through the RESI project, and were introduced to the remaining significant activities on the project, such as: installing a solar tree and a wind turbine with measuring instruments, preparing the Elaborate for the doctoral study, preparations for the next seminar in Mostar, etc.
