Representatives of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology visiting ArcelorMittal

On 17.09. In 2019, the professors of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, together with the dean Prof. Ph.D. Ilhan Bušatlić, they visited the company ArcelorMittal Zenica. The professors were hosted by the general manager of the company Mr. Biju Nair and his associates. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the current and future cooperation between the Faculty and AMZ. The hosts introduced the professors to the current and planned activities in certain departments with a special emphasis on implementation projects in the field of environmental protection. Also, during the conversation, Dean Faulteta took the opportunity to thank the director and representatives of AMZ for the cooperation and help that the company continuously provides to the Faculty in the form of student scholarships, enabling internships for students in the third year of study, study visits as part of the curricula of subjects that deal with issues of steel production and processing and all other forms of cooperation. Also, during the conversation, it was concluded that the successful cooperation so far should be continued and intensified through the involvement of teachers and associates in various project tasks and researches that are current at the AMZ facilities. As part of the visit to the company, a tour of the Energy, Steel and Agglomeration plants was also organized. where capital projects in the field of environmental protection are currently being implemented and relate to the installation of the latest filters.
