Visit of representatives of the embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany

On 01.12.2016. The University of Zenica was visited by Mrs. Susanne Mattis, Attaché of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Sarajevo, and respected prof. em. Ph.D. Ph.D. Friedrich Naumann. In the rector's office of the University of Zenica, a welcome was held by the rector, prof. Ph.D. Dževad Zečić, and the reception of the guests was attended by: v. prof. Ph.D. Malik Čabaravdić, vice-rector for international cooperation and quality assurance of the University of Zenica, assistant professor. Ph.D. Amela Ćurković, Head of the Department for German Language and Literature, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zenica, assistant professor. Ph.D. Fuad Hadžikadunić, dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zenica, Amra Muslić Halilović, prof. Eng. jeez and librarian, coordinator for inter-university and international cooperation of the University of Zenica and v. prof. Ph.D. Hasan Avdušinović, vice dean for scientific research at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials, University of Zenica.

The purpose of the meeting, among other things, was the official presentation of a donation from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany to the University of Zenica, i.e. the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials, and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zenica.

After the presentation of very valuable library material as part of the donation for the Faculty of Philosophy, then the measuring equipment used for the preparation of samples, i.e. precise weighing as part of the donation for the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials, the guests visited part of the facilities and part of the laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and the purpose of a short presentation of the faculty and display of equipment from part of the donation.

Distinguished guests visited the iDEAlab area, where a presentation of the center was made and its basic purpose was pointed out in order to encourage and develop student entrepreneurship and innovation. Then, a visit was made to the Laboratory for Applied Mechanics, where the ordered sophisticated equipment for measuring deformations as part of the donation was shown, as well as other equipment of this laboratory, and the way and results of the laboratory's work so far were described for the needs of the higher education process, scientific research domain and cooperation with economy in the professional and scientific domain.
