10.06.2021. CIP AND MF UNZE: PRACTICAL TEACHING FOR STUDENTS IN CARLATO AND GS TM COMPANIES
The second set of practical classes for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Department of General Mechanical Engineering (OM) and Design and Technologies in Woodworking (DTD) was held in the factories CARLATO Bila and GS Tvornica mašina Travnik. First, there was a visit to the company CARLATO, which has several different production lines. The first one where wooden elements for latoflex bearings are produced. The second line is for the metal program (laser cutting and welding and other machining processes), where bearing structures, parts of the truck program, equipment for agricultural machines, etc. are made. The host for the visiting students was the owner Mr. Dragan Gazibarić, who had a long conversation with the students, answering numerous questions. This part of the practical lesson was followed by a visit and lesson in the facilities of the GS TM Travnik factory. GS-TMT is part of the former BRATSTVO Novi Travnik business system and was privatized in 2004. After privatization, the factory had 52 employees, 400,000 euros of annual income and 5 percent of exports. Today GS - Tvornica mašina Travnik realizes a turnover of more than 20 million euros with an export share of 98 percent and almost 400 employees. The students were hosted by the director and the owner Snow White Co-owner and executive director Eng. Muamer Trako and a larger number of associates for working with students in smaller groups. Students had the opportunity to see how subassemblies and parts are made for firma LIEBHERR, Siemens trains, Mercedes car parts or modern bicycles for Bosch. The students had the opportunity to see the welding center, which has a dual teaching model for high school students from Travnik. It was an opportunity for the guests of MF and CIP UNZE in this practical class, Grabovica Nezim, prof. and Damir Hodžić, M.Sc., Prof., professors at the Zenica Technical School, arrange practical classes for the next school year for their students. And in this way, CIP and MF showed how to maintain permanent cooperation with secondary schools in the surrounding area. Students had free time in the late afternoon in the old town of Travnik.
