29.05.2017. – 09.06.2017. CIP UNZE: LAST MODULE IN THE LSDT PROGRAM (LEADERSHIP AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT TRAINING)

In Biel (Switzerland) on Monday, May 29, 2017, in the beautiful surroundings of the Faculty of Architecture and Woodwork of the University of Applied Sciences in Bern (Berner Fachhochschule - BFH), the last module of the LSDT "Leadership and Skills Development Training" program began. The participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina received a warm welcome from the BFH staff, who provided basic information and showed the Faculty complex, which - in accordance with the Swiss building tradition and the dominant scientific field studied at the BFH - is mostly made of wood ( see photos). On the same day, the lectures began, which will last for two weeks, and the topics will be: technologies in the wood industry; wooden constructions and structures of modern houses; furniture for the international market; innovative wood-based materials; quality management in the final stage of processing; air quality and emissions; innovation, research and development and safety at work. As part of this study stay, the participants visited two companies on Wednesday, May 31, 2017: ROTH (produces glued timber) and WENGER (produces windows).
