08.02.2019. CIP AND MF UNZE: VISIT PK KS (GIZ-DTD_EU PRO-LOCAL)

Presenting the results of the project Development of an innovative process of education and networking in the field of wood processing in Central Bosnia (giz-dtd_EU pro-local), the head of the project team Prof. Dr. Darko Petković visited the Sarajevo Canton Chamber of Commerce (PK KS) and with the advisor of the Chamber president Mr. Muamer Mahmutoveć, Prof. Dr. Muharem Šabić talked about various topics aimed at stimulating the development of entrepreneurship and creating new jobs. Prof. Dr. Šabić presented a really impressive number of activities carried out by PK KS (educations, fairs, international projects, starting a business, statistics, helping investors, etc.). PK KS (www.pksa.ba) provides support to its members in the process of stabilization and joining the EU, business development and increasing competitiveness in the country and abroad. Prof. Petković presented the IDEA_lab MF UNZE and its work, as well as the future IT design Lab and FabLab-laboratory which will serve for manual-machine development of wood products. A short English dictionary for woodworkers was also presented, which will be available to woodworkers from KS on the project's website (giz-dtd_EU pro-local).. The DTD study program was presented, with the expectation that, with solid cooperation with companies in the region, it will represent one of the most important resources for the future development of this sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In particular, there was talk about 3D scanning and printing technology and the importance they can have for companies in KS, and about the engagement of CIP and MF UNZE in disseminating their experiences in this domain in PK KS. They also discussed the model of dual (cooperative) education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is a great opportunity in which the PK KS sees a chance for its inclusion. Prof. Petković presented the study of Design and Technology in Wood Processing, which was conceived as a DUAL EDUCATIONAL MODEL, and until the creation of legal regulations in BIH for this type of study, it will be implemented as a COOPERATIVE study model with numerous partners in the project. The special topic of the meeting was related to the potential development possibilities of NTP Sarajevo, which due to a number of things has not happened until now, and almost all the capital cities of the ex-SFRJ have made strong strides in this domain.
