Director Sijarić particularly emphasized the excellent connections the school has with the business sector in Fojnica and presented the award of the German Chamber of Commerce for the dedicated work of the school in developing the concept of dual education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the practical example of the development of the Department of Design and Technologies in Wood Processing (DTD) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica, which was developed for several years in cooperation with the universities of Bern (Switzerland), Rosenheim and Hanover (OWL-Lemgo) and Trieste (Italy), it was shown how foreign experiences can be used in the development of modern study programs at our universities with the aim that this study will one day be in the dual education model. Very active graduates were interested in how universities are accredited, whether they can apply for only one or more study programs, what mobility is, how ECTS credits are calculated and transferred, etc. Prof. Petković invited the graduates to enroll in studies anywhere in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region or the EU, because the imperative of every young person should be the highest possible level of education in the field they love and see as their life choice.
