SIGNED MEMORANDUM ON COOPERATION BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY OF ZENICA AND THE TPO FOUNDATION

Yesterday, a ceremony was held in Sarajevo for the ceremonial signing of memorandums of cooperation with 17 universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro under the auspices of the Embassy of the United Kingdom.

On behalf of the University of Zenica, the memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Rector, Prof. Dr.Sc. Jusuf Durakovic.

His Excellency Matthew Field emphasized the importance of universities' willingness to work on integrating gender equality into the higher education system so that the academic and wider community is a safe place for teachers and students. Director of the TPO Foundation v. prof. Ph.D. Zilka Spahić Šiljak emphasized the importance of establishing mechanisms for the prevention of gender-based violence and the promotion of gender equality in universities, which should result in a change in the general and organizational culture in the academic community. This is the first step we have taken with the support of the Embassy of the United Kingdom, and now a large number of activities will follow, which we will carry out in cooperation with partner universities."
