The Solemn Academy of the University of Zenica was held on the occasion of celebrating sixty years of higher education in Zenica
In the Bosnian National Theater of Zenica, the Ceremonial Academy was held today on the occasion of commemorating sixty years of higher education in Zenica.
The ceremonial academy was attended by rectors of all public universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, rectors and representatives of universities from Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, representatives of the embassies of Indonesia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and France, then representatives of state, federal and cantonal authorities, representatives of religious, cultural, sports and business life, numerous guests and employees of the University of Zenica.
At today's Ceremonial Academy, two honorary doctorates of the University of Zenica (Honoris Causa) were awarded to Mr. Danis Tanović for his exceptional contribution to Bosnian culture and film art and Prof. Ph.D. Johan Arne Vetlesen for his outstanding contribution in the field of philosophy, as well as for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of peace, tolerance and humanity.
To the students of the University of Zenica who achieved significant results in 2018 and 2019, Prof. Ph.D. Damir Kukić, rector of the University of Zenica, presented the Rector's Awards for the best scientific, research, professional, artistic and sports achievements, and they were awarded to: Lamija Sušić, Nihada Softić, Adelisa Behramović, Vis Moot team of the Faculty of Law consisting of Amina Hasanović, Ajna Mahmić, Emir Živčić and Ibrahim Palalija, as well as Faris Muratović, Ahmed Krnjić, Anida Čorović and the Polytechnic Faculty team consisting of Belmir Hekić, Adna Sofić, Ajla Bošnjak, Nudžejma Luković and Adis Delić.
A special recognition was given to Amel Tuka, and Prof. Ph.D. Fuad Hadžikadunić, Dean of Mašinski and Prof. Ph.D. Enes Bikić, dean of the Faculty of Law, presented Amel and Amina Tuka with diplomas for the completed study of the first cycle of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Law.
