A meeting of the Management Board of the UniAdrion network and a round table on inter-university cooperation were held

This year, the University of Zenica took over the chairmanship of the UniAdrion network and today hosted the members of the Board of Directors. The main goal of the UniAdrion network, which consists of over fifty universities from ten countries, is inter-university cooperation and cooperation of research centers in order to strengthen international cooperation and progress in the field of culture, science and research in the Adriatic-Ionian region. UniAdrion promotes scientific and academic cooperation mainly through the implementation of teaching and research initiatives such as various trainings, postgraduate degrees, summer schools and research projects.

According to the Statute, the chairmanship of the Management Board of the UniAdrion network rotates every year, and the current president is Prof. Ph.D. Jusuf Duraković, rector of the University of Zenica. The members of the Management Board are representatives of all member states of the network: Italy, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, Albania, San Marino, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the meeting of the Board of Directors held today, the budget of the network for 2023 was approved, and the access of new members, changes to the Statute, the amount of the membership fee and projects that are currently being implemented, as well as future projects, were discussed.

After the session, a round table was held on the topic "Plan for the recovery of inter-university cooperation in the Adriatic-Ionian region: What we can expect in the next three years". In the opening remarks, members of the Board of Directors and guests were greeted by Prof. Dr.Sc. Jusuf Duraković, rector of the University of Zenica, Mr. Miloš Prica, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Marco Di Ruzza, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Prof. Ph.D. Enes Hašić, director of the Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was also announced that the Assembly of the UniAdrion network will be held with the presence of representatives of all members in May next year.
