At the Faculty of Law in Zenica, the second year of the only Jean Monnet course in BiH began

In the multimedia hall of the Faculty of Law in Zenica, on March 7 and 14, 2017, introductory lectures from the only Jean Monnet course at law faculties in BiH, financed by the European Commission, were held. The course is held entirely in English and is entitled "Internal Market and Human Rights in the EU", and students have the opportunity and obligation to present cases decided before the Court of the European Union on the topic of freedom of movement of goods, services, capital and people and fundamental rights. , and possible and actual conflicts between them.

This year, a much larger number of students participate in the Jean Monnet course, which testifies to the recognition of the importance of the topic and the quality of the course, and thanks to the good cooperation between the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics in Zenica, the course is attended by both students from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics, and the interdisciplinary approach is and was the main goal of introducing the subject. An Erasmus student from Spain is attending the course from the Faculty of Economics. The course lecturer and project leader is Prof. Dr. Zlatan Meškić, and the additional teacher is Dr. Darko Samardžić. Within the course, the electronic learning portal of the Faculty of Law in Zenica is used, in order to facilitate the exchange of materials and sources.

As part of the course, students will prepare a presentation at the conference that will be held on April 21, 2017. At the conference, students will have the opportunity to present the results of their research in front of the German prof. Dr. Thomas Giegerich, Director of the Institute for European Law of the University of Saarland, and other guest teachers, and the best papers will be published in the indexed journal Annals of the Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica.
