THE BEGINNING OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR WAS CEREMONIALLY CELEBRATED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ZENICA

Today, the new academic year began at the faculties of the University of Zenica. On that occasion, in compliance with the epidemiological measures to protect against the COVID-19 virus, a formal reception of freshmen was also organized. Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Damir Kukić, Rector of the University of Zenica and Prof. Ph.D. Spahija Kozlić, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports visited the first lectures at the Polytechnic Faculty and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, along with the dean of the Polytechnic Faculty, Prof. Dr.Sc. Sabahudin Jašarević and the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Ph.D. Fuad Hadžikadunić, welcomed the students.

Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Damir Kukić, rector of the University of Zenica, said in his address to the freshmen that by acquiring new knowledge, they have the opportunity and privilege, but also the responsibility, to become those subjects in society who can change that society in a positive direction. The Rector also pointed out that teachers and associates at the University of Zenica will do everything to create prerequisites on the basis of which students will be able to achieve their academic goals.

Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Spahija Kozlić, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, conveyed congratulations and welcomed the students on behalf of all members of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton headed by Prime Minister Mirzo Ganić. On this occasion, Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Spahija Kozlić told the students that the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton will provide scholarships for all students who meet the formal requirements, and that the goal of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton is to ensure quality conditions for teaching.
