THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN ROBOTICS HAS BEEN STARTED

The University of Zenica is the organizer of the National Robotics Championship, which started today in the "Husejin Smajlović" City Arena. 18 competing teams in three different categories are participating in this competition, and the winners will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina at the world competition, which will be held in November in Dortmund, Germany.

The national championship was organized with the patronage of the City of Zenica and the ZEDA Agency through the Agora project, which is financed by the Danube Transnational Program and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton. The event was also supported by BH Telecom, Devmatec, Ruff cycles SEE doo and GS-Tvornica mašina Travnik.

"The University of Zenica wants to point out a very important need, namely that children understand the importance of robotics from the beginning of their education. We want to say that there is a robotics study program at our University, and we want to prepare children in a timely manner so that everyone who has an affinity for robotics can study at our University," said Prof. Ph.D. Jusuf Duraković, rector of the University of Zenica.

The Rector also thanked the City of Zenica, which provided the space for holding this prestigious competition, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, which allocated funds for the purchase of the robot, and Edutus University and the ZEDA Agency for their selfless support and excellent cooperation.

The competition was opened by prof. dr. sc. Jusuf Duraković, Rector of the University of Zenica, Mr. Senad Pašalić, Director of the ZEDA Agency on behalf of the City of Zenica, Prof. Dr.Sc. Spahija Kozlić, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports ZDK and Mr. Zoltan Szogi, Chief Executive Officer of WRO and representative of Edutus University.

The competition will last until the afternoon when the winner is expected to be announced.
