12.03.2020. MF AND CIP UNZE: PRESENTATION OF THE DUALSCI PROJECT ON TV ZENICA

A month after the first (so-called kick-off-meeting) meeting in East Sarajevo, the first contact show on TV Zenica was held, the topic of which was the dual study model in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bachelor of Laws, owner of the MINEX Trade company and member of the project team of the Business Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the development of dual education at FBIH and Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, head of the UNZE team on the DUALSCI project. After the presentation of the report on the state of the unemployed in the ZDK area by the ZDK Employment Agency, there followed a discussion in the studio and a direct contact show that lasted 45 minutes. Prof. Petković presented the project DUALSCI - Capacity building for the implementation of dual education in the higher education sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and presented the experience so far in the partial application of the dual model and further connection with the business sector. Although the fact is that the dual model does not exist in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, except for education at health faculties, Prof. Petković pointed out that UNZE represents the leader of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of good cooperation with the business sector. He emphasized that already today we have at least 1 ECTS credit (approx. 30 hours of work) in numerous courses at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering or Polytechnic, which are achieved through study visits to business systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. Representative of the business sector Mr. Meškić spoke in particular about the need for excessively long adaptation that graduates have when they start working, that too much insistence is placed on theoretical teaching, and that the practice that companies can offer on machines of the latest generations, which colleges most often do not have, is often avoided.
