Invitation to apply for the "University Debating Competition" project

The project is organized by ELSA Zenica with the support of the Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica, and under the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.

All students of the University of Zenica have the right to participate, and one faculty can represent one team consisting of 3 students with the application of one professor or assistant who will be members of the judicial panel. Cash prizes are provided for the teams that win first, second and third place, and all competitors will receive a certificate of participation.

Topics of the debate competition:

• Smoking in indoor areas should be prohibited;
• Testing of medicines and cosmetics on animals should be allowed in BiH;
• It is necessary to introduce fines or other sanctions for those who do not want to be vaccinated.

We emphasize that each team is obliged to prepare both an affirmative and a negative thesis of the mentioned topics, and the choice of affirmation and negation will be made half an hour before the start of the team competition, within which they will be able to develop the strategy of the mentioned theses. The debate will be held according to the Karl Popper debate format.

Please submit your applications marked "Applications for the University Debate Competition" containing the following information: first and last name of team members, faculty you are from, year of study, and the name of the member of the judicial council and the position he holds at the University no later than 04.03. in 2022 year to the email address elsa.zenica@gmail.com.
