THE PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT WOULD VISIT THE UNIVERSITY IN ZENICA
Mr. Mato Tadić, President of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited the University of Zenica today. At the Rectorate of the University of Zenica, Mr. Tadić met with Prof. Dr.Sc. Jusuf Duraković, Rector of the University of Zenica, Prof. Ph.D. Larisa Velić, Chairwoman of the Senate of the University of Zenica, Prof. Ph.D. Ilhan Bušatlić, Vice-Rector for Finance and Development of the University of Zenica and Prof. Ph.D. Malik Čabaravdić, vice-rector for international cooperation and quality assurance of the University of Zenica. The management of the University of Zenica presented the way of functioning and the organization of the University, while Mr. Mato Tadić spoke to those present about the Constitutional Court and current issues concerning the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After the visit to the Rectorate, Mr. Mato Tadić gave a lecture to the second-year students of the Faculty of Law, where he spoke about the position of the Constitutional Court, its functioning and organization, about the way in which the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina was created, in the creation process of which he himself participated, and answered a series of questions interesting questions asked by the students during the discussion.
After this lecture, and as part of the realization of the UNIGEM project, the workshop "16 Days of Activism" was held. The UNIGEM project is implemented in cooperation with the TPO Foundation and the Embassy of Great Britain, and represents the university's strategic commitment to introducing a gender perspective, i.e. ensuring gender equality and a safe environment for male and female teachers, as well as male and female students at universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the purpose of realizing this project, the Center for Gender Equality was established at the University of Zenica, and the members of the Center's Advisory Board, Prof. Dr.Sc. Maša Alijević and Prof. Ph.D. Ilhan Bušatlić talked with the students during the workshop.
