What is this master about?

The Erasmus Mundus Master’s program iPSRS is an initiative aimed at harnessing the synergies between photonics and artificial intelligence (AI) to meet current and future societal and industrial challenges. Designed to offer students unrivalled training in intelligent photonics, a field that combines cutting-edge technologies using light and waves with the power of AI for processing large volumes of data. The training covers fundamental topics as well as applications, and is based on courses, projects, seminars and internships. Students will thus acquire state-of-the-art knowledge, valuable practical experience in industry and research laboratories, and networking opportunities. The consortium’s aim is to prepare future engineers and researchers to excel in fast-moving fields that stimulate innovation and technological advances.

Physics and applied physics • Optics / photonics / optical engineering • Electronics and electrical engineering • Telecommunications • Computer science • Artificial intelligence / data science • Mathematics and applied mathematics • Signal and image processing / computer vision • Biomedical engineering, particularly for students interested in imaging and sensing technologies • Materials science / nanotechnologies • More broadly, engineering programs related to lasers, sensors, imaging, electronics, and advanced technologies.

2. International Master on Wine Tourism Transitions and Innovations (WINTOUR) 

What is this master about?

The International Master on Wine Tourism Transitions and Innovations (WINTOUR) is a unique educational joint programme resulting from an established track of collaborations among three leading European universities for higher education training in Tourism, Oenology, and related fields: Universitat Rovira i Virgili -coordinator (Tarragona, Spain), Université de Bordeaux (France) and Universidade do Porto (Portugal), all of them located in attractive areas recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Sites with a long tradition on wine production.

For which students?

Social Sciences (e.g. Tourism, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, Geography);

Natural and Experimental Sciences (e.g. Oenology/Viticulture, Agronomic/Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology, Gastronomy);

Humanities (e.g. Languages, International Relations), or other closely related fields.
